Description

Triple and complete calendars are signature complications of Vacheron Constantin, offering charming aesthetics and functionality. Usually a cross between simplicity and innovation, the complete calendar showcases a moon phase display accurate to 122 years along with a full triple calendar, including the month, day, and date.

Vacheron Constantin Traditionnelle Complete Calendar is powered by self-winding caliber 2460 QCL/1 which makes its complete calendar complications seamless. The entire movement has a diameter of 29mm and a thickness of 5.40mm and hones a 40-hour power reserve.

Reminiscent of pieces made by the cabinotiers of Geneva—watchmakers who steadily crafted timepieces within the Age of Enlightenment—the watch showcases elegance in its purest form and highlights its complications to perfection. The numerals and letters are bold, clear, and legible in any situation.

Visually, it’s an ode to classic style, representing Dauphine-inspired aesthetics in the hour and minute hands, with 18k white-gold baton-style hour markers, a railway-minute track, round case, and a fluted case back. The day and month apertures are showcased at 3 o’clock and 9 o’clock, and the date is deciphered through a pointer. The moon phase indicator is perched at 6 o’clock, a central highlight of the piece. It’s a nod to the practicality of the 1920s, an era that required watches to be both useful and appealing.

The case, with a 41mm diameter and 10.72mm thickness, is also fashioned from 18k white gold, bringing a touch of opulence to the otherwise pragmatic watch. Its case back is transparent and finished in sapphire glass, giving a peek at its magnificent inner workings. Meanwhile, its bracelet is crafted from black Mississippiensis alligator (black) with a white gold Ardillon buckle.
