From 2001 when they introduced the RM001 tourbillon and 2007 when the RM011 was released, “RM” had already redefined modern-horology.
It was like Mr Mille created a category in itself, avant-garde watches using cutting-edge techniques+materials inspired by motorsports and aerospace. The RM011 is certainly the most recognisable model, its story and success has RM’s friendship with Brazilian driver, Felipe Massa.
Since then we saw RM011-01, RM011-02 and in 2016 the release of an upgraded version, bigger in size called RM11-03.
The classic tonneau case is emblematic of Richard Mille and its signature design, endorsing top athletes and answering their need for watches that resist extreme conditions, 2011 saw a revolution with the world’s lightest and shock resistant watch in the industry. The RM27 collection developed for Rafael Nadal, to allow him to play during tournaments with his watch. Since then the carbon fiber cased RM27-01, RM27-02 and RM27-03 versions were released, all limited to 50 pieces & ultra-ultra-light.
The present timepiece is a tribute to the famous French alpine ski racer : Alexis Pinturault • In it’s honor and to represent the national flag of this prestigious ambassador, the watch has three main colors : Blue – White – Red • Crafted in white Carbon TPT and Quartz TPT, exclusive Richard Mille materials, the whole « body » of this beauty is a pleasure and harmony visually • And it’s also very thin : 7,8mm when it lies on the wrist.
This robust but very light armor weight only 32 grams and protects the CRMA7 caliber visible from the clear sapphire glass • It reveals also skeleton hours & minutes hands with luminescent coating to the indicate the time in any conditions • Blue, white and red stylish lines represents the French flag and gives a colorful but discreet touch to it • The crown has a red rubber grip to facilitate the setting of the time and the winding.
The movement is visible from both sides and has a power-reserve of 50 hours • The case will protect the movement from any shock and is resistant to water till 30 meters • The elegant and comfortable elastic blue strap will fix any wrist

Richard Mille – Bio
Richard Mille (born 13 February 1951, in France) started work at Finhor, a local watchmaking company in 1974. The company was bought by Matra in 1981 and Richard Mille rose to manage Matra’s watchmaking business, which then included the brands Yema and Cupillard Rième. Matra’s watchmaking activities were sold to Seiko, who Mille left in 1992 to start a watchmaking business for jewellery firm Mauboussin. In 1999 he founded the company Richard Mille SA in collaboration with Audemars Piguet. Its first product, the RM001 went on sale in 2001.
