Description
Richard Mille’s foray into the Chronograph territory began in 2003, with the introduction of the RM004. Since then, the brand has gone strength to strength, with the evolution of complication into various references.
In 2019, Richard Mille launched 2 new chronographs – the RM72-01 and the present reference RM65-01 – and automatic split-seconds chronograph, continuing the brand’s focus on ultra high-end chronographs.
The Richard Mille RM65-01 Flyback Chronograph Carbon watch is an exceptional timepiece that exemplifies the brand’s commitment to innovation and technical excellence. This watch is a high-performance tool for professional athletes and adventurers who demand precision timing and durability in the most challenging conditions.
The watch’s 44.5mm x 50mm carbon composite case is lightweight and incredibly strong, providing excellent protection for the intricate mechanism inside. The curved case back and rubber strap ensure a comfortable fit on the wrist, making this a watch that can be worn for extended periods without discomfort.
The dial of the RM65-01 is a work of art, with a semi-skeletonized design that showcases the intricate movement underneath. The color-coded indicators and hands make it easy to read and navigate, with yellow for the hours and minutes, blue and orange for the seconds hands, and red for the minutes track. The function selector is in red, green, and yellow, while the date aperture is green.
The watch’s Caliber RMAC4 movement is a marvel of engineering, developed by Vaucher and running at an impressive 36,000 beats per hour. It features an integrated split-seconds chronograph, allowing the wearer to time two events simultaneously, and Richard Mille’s variable-geometry rotor, which adjusts the winding rate to the wearer’s activity level.
The RM65-01 is also incredibly user-friendly, with pushers and a crown that are easy to operate, even with gloves on. The bright red “Rapid Winding” button on the case flank allows the wearer to wind the movement to full power in just 125 presses.
The watch is offered on a black rubber strap with a Richard Mille pin buckle, making it comfortable and secure on the wrist. The strap is also durable and resistant to wear, making it ideal for outdoor activities.
