Description

From 2001 when they introduced the RM001 tourbillon and 2007 when the RM011 was released, “RM” had already redefined modern-horology.

It was like Mr Mille created a category in itself, avant-garde watches using cutting-edge techniques materials inspired by motorsports and aerospace. The  RM011 is certainly the most recognisable model, its story and success has RM’s friendship with Brazilian driver, Felipe Massa.

Since then we saw RM011-01, RM011-02 and in 2016 the release of an upgraded version, bigger in size called RM11-03.
The classic tonneau case is emblematic of Richard Mille and its signature design, endorsing top athletes and answering their need for watches that resist extreme conditions, 2011 saw a revolution with the world’s lightest and shock resistant watch in the industry.  The RM27 collection developed for Rafael Nadal, to allow him to play during tournaments with his watch.  Since then the carbon fiber cased RM27-01, RM27-02 and RM27-03 versions were released, all limited to 50 pieces & ultra-ultra-light.

*This present watch is the latest collaboration with Roberto Mancini, released in 2020./ The Swiss brand revealed this new model in 2020 with a tribute to the famous Italian football manager : Roberto Mancini.

It takes back the lines of the RM11-03 with slight changes and a new crown. This ultra-sporty case is in Carbon TPT with grade 5 titanium screws fixing together this three-parts body. An inner blue graduate bezel reveals a gorgeous skeletonized dial with the following features : Flyback chronograph with extra-time and overtime measurement – annual calendar – small seconds and central hours & minutes hands. The new crown has three position in order to set the time, wind and adjust the date.

The dial along with the push-pieces and the crown are in the color of the Italian flag in order to give tribute to R. Mancini origins and the “Squadra Azzurra”.

The engine visible through both glasses is the caliber RMAC3, an automatic movement with bridges and baseplate made of grade 5 titanium. A solid and light material for more efficient performance.
A blue rubber strap with a sporty-chic design will allow to fix this very exclusive time-tracker with high performance on the field.
