Description

Richard Mille is the redefinition of modern-horology, avant-garde watches using cutting-edge techniques, materials inspired by motorsports and aerospace. The classic tonneau case is emblematic of Richard Mille and its signature design.

The present reference RM 030 Blue Ceramic EMEA is a limited edition of 100 pieces, destined for the European, Middle Eastern and African markets. The skeletonized dial showcases the innovative self-winding RMAR1 calibre, with a patented declutching rotor system and a power reserve of up to 55 hours. This creative mechanical feat allows the watch to avoid overwinding. The movement can be admired through the sapphire crystal case back.

The skeletonized dial features a date indicator at 7 o’ clock, the power reserve indicator at 9 o’ clock, while an aperture at 12 o’ clock highlights the winding status.

The tonneau-shaped case of the RM 030 – as its name indicates – is made in a beautiful blue ceramic which is notorious for being virtually scratch-resistant. The white caseband crafted in quartz TPT adds some contrast to the sporty tone of the watch.

The baseplate and the bridges are made in Grade 5 titanium. As with all Richard Mille timepieces, the movement is finished beautifully to the highest standards with beveled edges and hand-polished screw heads.

The watch comes fitted with a blue rubber strap for maximum comfort and grip, while giving it a sporty, athletic look.

Richard Mille – Bio

Richard Mille (born 13 February 1951, in France) started work at Finhor, a local watchmaking company in 1974. The company was bought by Matra in 1981 and Richard Mille rose to manage Matra’s watchmaking business, which then included the brands Yema and Cupillard Rième. Matra’s watchmaking activities were sold to Seiko, who Mille left in 1992 to start a watchmaking business for jewellery firm Mauboussin. In 1999 he founded the company Richard Mille SA in collaboration with Audemars Piguet. Its first product, the RM001 went on sale in 2001
