Description

Richard Mille’s foray into the Chronograph territory began in 2003, with the introduction of the RM004. Since then, the brand has gone strength to strength, with the evolution of complication into various references.

In 2007, the RM 11 line of chronographs was launched. We have seen this collection evolve over the last 14 years, with the latest being our present reference, the RM11-05, launched in 2020. The bezel here is the talking point – made of cermet, a highly durable heat-resistant composite material made from ceramic and a sintered metal, with a hardness comparable to diamond.

Richard Mille has managed to make a highly scratch-resistant watch that also feels light on the wrist, without compromising on the case dimensions, which is 50mm x 42.70mm. While the bezel is made of grey cermet, the caseband is Carbon TPT, and the caseback made of grade 5 titanium.

The dial displays a flyback chronograph, a GMT function and an annual calendar with displays for date and month. The color way of blue and orange on the dial continues on the crown and the chrono pushers. Seen through the sapphire caseback is the Vaucher-made RMAC3 automatic movement with Richard Mille’s patented variable geometry rotor.  It is again, a fantastic combination of traditional watchmaking and cutting edge technology.

While the look of the movement construction might look something out of Star-Trek, one cannot miss the hand finishing on the heads of those iconic spline screws or the beveled edges.

This gorgeous timepiece is offered on a matching light blue rubber strap with a pin buckle.
