The Patek Philippe 5330G-001, introduced at Watches and Wonders 2024, stands out for its groundbreaking feature: a date display indexed to local time, specifically the time zone selected at 12 o’clock and indicated by the central hands. This innovation marks a world first, showcasing Patek Philippe’s dedication to horological advancement.

The opaline blue-gray dial is adorned with a center carbon pattern, adding a modern and sophisticated touch. The date is prominently displayed on the flange by a red-tipped central hand, ensuring clear readability. The dial also features white gold applied faceted baton-style hour markers, coated with luminescent material to enhance visibility.

The entirely polished white gold case, with a diameter of 40 mm and a thickness of 11.57 mm, exudes elegance and luxury. It is water-resistant to 30 meters and features a sapphire crystal case back, allowing a view of the intricate movement within. This timepiece is powered by the self-winding mechanical movement Caliber 240 HU C, which includes a world time function, 24-hour and day/night indication for all 24 time zones, and a date display by hand.

The watch is paired with a blue-gray calfskin strap, hand-stitched with a denim pattern, which complements the dial beautifully. The strap is secured with a white gold fold-over clasp, ensuring both comfort and style.

Patek Philippe – Bio

Patek Philippe & Co. was founded in 1839, located in Geneva and the Vallée de Joux. It designs and manufactures timepieces and movements, including some of the most complicated mechanical watches. It is considered by many experts and aficionados to be one of the most prestigious watch manufacturers.
In 1868, Patek Philippe made their first wristwatch, which was sold on November 13, 1876 to the Hungarian Countess.
It is the last independent, family-owned Genevan watch manufacture with uninterrupted operating history spanning nearly 180 years.
