Inspired by an Orientalist painting by Georges Washington (d. 1910), the dial depicts a falcon‑hunting scene in the plains of Arabia, rendered by a master enameller through painstaking, layered firings – each session refining outlines, depth, and color saturation. Up to fifteen firings were required for this piece, producing the vivid tonal gradations and lifelike detail of these two Arabian horsemen. Gold dauphine hands provide a discreet, elegant contrast.

Cased in platinum with a 38 mm diameter, the watch embodies Calatrava purity and proportion. A sapphire‑crystal caseback reveals the self‑winding caliber 240, Patek Philippe’s celebrated ultra‑thin micro‑rotor movement, finished to the highest standards and prized for its svelte architecture.
