Description
Mid to late 90s were exciting times in the Wallstreet. The dot.com boom was in full bloom, and cash was flowing into the bank accounts of a considerably younger generation. Amid this boom, in 1997, Patek Philippe launched Aquanaut – a modified version of the Nautilus, targeting a much younger audience. The design was heavily inspired by Genta’s original Nautilus, but with notable changes evoking the taste of the consumers it was aimed at. Here’s a timeline of the Aquanaut family:
1997: Ref: 5060
1998: Ref: 5064, 5065, 5066 and 4960
2004: Ref: 5067 in black, white, and green dials with matching straps and diamonds on the bezel.
2007: Ref: 5167
2008: Ref: 5167/1A
2009: Ref: 5167R
2011: Ref: 5164 (Travel Time)
2016: Ref: 5164R
2017: Ref: 5168G (Blue) and 5650G (Advanced Research) / 5072R and 5062/450R
2019: Ref: 5168G (Khaki) and 5968
The present reference 5267/200A-011 was introduced in 2021. It resembles 5067, but in a larger, 38.8mm steel case. The bezel is set with 48 diamonds, totaling 1.11ct and the khaki green aquanaut-pattern embossed dial features Arabic numerals and luminous hands, both in white gold. The case offers 120mtrs water resistance. On the inside is the Caliber E 23‑250 S C quartz movement powering the time and date functions.
This luxurious timepiece is offered on a matching khaki green Aquanaut strap with a fold-over clasp.
