The chronograph has two sub-dials located at 6 o’clock and 9 o’clock, which display the elapsed minutes and hours, respectively. The central chronograph hand is operated using the pushers located on either side of the crown.

The watch is powered by a self-winding mechanical movement, which is visible through the sapphire crystal case back. The movement is made up of 305 individual components and has a power reserve of up to 55 hours.

The 5980/1A-001 is water-resistant up to 120 meters, making it suitable for swimming and snorkeling. The stainless steel bracelet is comfortable to wear and features a double-fold deployant clasp.

Patek Philippe – Bio

Patek Philippe & Co. was founded in 1839, located in Geneva and the Vallée de Joux. It designs and manufactures timepieces and movements, including some of the most complicated mechanical watches. It is considered by many experts and aficionados to be one of the most prestigious watch manufacturers.
In 1868, Patek Philippe made their first wristwatch, which was sold on November 13, 1876 to the Hungarian Countess.
It is the last independent, family-owned Genevan watch manufacture with uninterrupted operating history spanning nearly 180 years.
