Patek Philippe made the world’s first split-seconds chronograph back in 1923.
They were way ahead of their time, but then Patek is known for challenging the conventional and constantly offering something breathtaking. Speaking of breathtaking, in 1947 Patek introduced Ref: 1563, a split-seconds version of the more commonly known Ref: 1463 which was launched a few years earlier, in 1940.

There are only 3 known examples of Ref: 1563, so one can only imagine how rare these timepieces are. Technically, Patek Philippe did not introduce any serially produced split seconds chronographs, and the handful there are, were special commissions. Even those stopped in 1971. Then there was a long silence. 45 years long, before Patek shook the world in 2015 with the introduction of the incredibly gorgeous Ref: 5370P. There’s rarely a timepiece that ticks all the boxes: Aesthetic, Concept, Function and Execution. This one does that and more. A timepiece so stunning, it was a testament to the brand’s rich history and heritage.

Reference 5370p-011 was released in 2020, replacing the the original, black-dial Ref: 5370P-001, that was launched in 2015. It was already, without any argument the best Patek Philippe released in many years. The new blue enamel dial only further enhances the beauty of this already intensely gorgeous piece.

The 41mm case is inspired by 1940s models such as reference 130 and 1463.
It features a highly complicated chronograph function called split-seconds, often referred also with its French name the ‘Rattrapante‘ (a chronograph function with two seconds hand superimposed one on top of the other, its used to measure two different event that start but don’t end together).

The dial is a blue enamel with white inscription and is inspired by vintage models with a contemporary look.  You thought you had seen the best wait until you see the back case… stunning finishing of the movement, it would be a shame to ever want to use the solid platinum case-back provided with the watch, we can also notice the engraved Patek Philippe’s “PP” seal, a guarantee of the highest level of quality & precision.

Our timepiece is brand new, comes with a 2 year international warranty.
