Description

Experience the regalia of salmon hues

Patek Philippe’s Perpetual Calendar series is legendary in the horology space. It brings an undeniable touch of vintage sophistication while appealing to a contemporary era. The reference 5320G series, a clear aesthetic shift for the brand, was part of the premiere line of perpetual calendar wristwatches in 1942. It had a very limited number of 210 pieces.

The Patek Phillipe Perpetual Calendar 5320G-011 in a Salmon Dial was first introduced in 2022, at the Edition of Watches and Wonders. It matched closely to its sister cream-colored edition (which is now discontinued) and is a gorgeous successor.

The watch’s case features a 40mm diameter and 11.13mm height, enhanced by 18k white gold which is completely polished. The already breathtaking case is stamped due to its intricate, sharp, and triple-stepped lugs. It is complemented by a brown alligator strap that is glossed to perfection.

Of course, the highlight of this model is the salmon dial. It was achieved by using a rose gold coating and opaline process. The case itself showcases luminous Arabic numerals and uniquely crafted hands fashioned from 18k gold and coated with anthracite. The display takes cues from its predecessors, with a perpetual calendar complication of a date and moon facet, and remaining apertures for the day, month, day-night indication, and leap years.

The automatic Calibre 324 movement, with a rotor that is centrally mounted, includes several in-house features such as a Gyromax balance and Spiromax balance spring, verified by Patek’s seal. The power reserve is around 45 hours, accounting for an overall aesthetically pleasing and highly functional watch.

Patek Philippe – Bio

Patek Philippe & Co. was founded in 1839, located in Geneva and the Vallée de Joux. It designs and manufactures timepieces and movements, including some of the most complicated mechanical watches. It is considered by many experts and aficionados to be one of the most prestigious watch manufacturers.
In 1868, Patek Philippe made their first wristwatch, which was sold on November 13, 1876 to the Hungarian Countess.
It is the last independent, family-owned Genevan watch manufacture with uninterrupted operating history spanning nearly 180 years.
