Description
When Patek Philippe reopened its Geneva salon on rue du Rhone in the year 2006, it celebrated the historic event with the 300pcs limited edition Calatrava Ref: 5565A. A humble 36mm timepiece in steel, with the case back featuring a fine engraving of the flagship building with the commemorative inscription: “1839 – 1892 – 2006.”
In 2019, Patek Philippe inaugurated its new headquarters in Plan-les-Ouates, Geneva.
The CHF 600M, 10 floors magnificent structure brings all of Patek Philippe’s watchmaking under one roof.
It is equipped for almost every aspect of watch manufacturing, including basic machining, to ateliers for hand-finishing and assembling movements, to metiers d’art studios for engraving, guilloche and enameling.
A new milestone in the brand’s history, it called for a celebratory timepiece. And Patek answered with yet another Calatrava in steel.
