Best known for their Complication and Grand Complications watches Patek Philippe masters the “Haute Horlogerie” and are arguably the best in the industry.

First introduced in 2006, the Patek 5960 reference was the brand’s elegant self-winding annual calendar with chronograph.  Initially made in platinum with grey dial 5960p-001 and later in 2013 with a black dial 5960p-016, we also saw four references being offered in rose gold 5960R-001 (grey dial), 5960R-011 (cream dial),  5960R-010 (calendar disks white) & 5960R-012 (calendar disks black).

In 2014, the steel reference was 5960/1A-010 (white dial) as the same 40.5mm case but this time in stainless steel with the steel integrated bracelet, later in 2017, the present ebony black opaline dial with bright red contrasting accents was introduced.

The Patek Philippe Annual Calendar Chronograph 5960P-001 is a paragon of horological excellence, representing the zenith of Swiss craftsmanship for which Patek Philippe is globally renowned. With its harmonious blend of form and function, this timepiece epitomizes the brand’s ethos since its foundation in 1839: a pursuit of perfection.

Fashioned in a robust platinum casing, the 5960P-001 exudes a sense of discreet luxury. Its sunburst ebony-black dial, complemented by silver-toned accents, is an exemplar of understated elegance. The meticulously organized face features a trio of complications: a day, date, and month annual calendar, a power reserve indicator, and a monocounter chronograph, a marvel that combines both the 60-minute and 12-hour counters. This thoughtful design ensures optimal legibility without crowding the dial.

The heart of this masterpiece, the self-winding caliber CH 28-520 IRM QA 24H movement, showcases Patek Philippe’s commitment to mechanical prowess. Visible through a transparent sapphire case back, this movement is a testament to superior craftsmanship, with its intricate bridges and the iconic Patek Philippe seal.

Equipped with a supple alligator leather strap, the watch offers both comfort and style. Its deployant clasp ensures security, while the blue hue of the strap beautifully contrasts the platinum case, making it apt for every occasion, from corporate boardrooms to opulent soirées.

Patek Philippe – Bio

Patek Philippe & Co. was founded in 1839, located in Geneva and the Vallée de Joux. It designs and manufactures timepieces and movements, including some of the most complicated mechanical watches. It is considered by many experts and aficionados to be one of the most prestigious watch manufacturers.
In 1868, Patek Philippe made their first wristwatch, which was sold on November 13, 1876 to the Hungarian Countess.
It is the last independent, family-owned Genevan watch manufacture with uninterrupted operating history spanning nearly 180 years.
