A fusion of fine design and high precision watchmaking. The genius Mr Journe brings another creation to life for the pleasure of all watchafionados. This timepiece has a 40mm round case in platinum with a very sought after gorgeous mat salmon dial. The off-centred dial has two analog ring of numerals – the outer is for the minutes and the inner fo the hours. The time is indicated by two lovely blued steel hands while the center of the dial is hand guilloché. In addition, a small seconds counter is connected to this off-centered dial at 9 o’clock.
A 70-hours power-reserve indicator is located around 6 o’clock and the one second « remontoire » is visible at 11 o’clock. This outstanding feature helps this masterpiece to maintain it’s balance in any positions for a better efficiency of the gorgeous manual winding movement.
A wonderful work of art that you can admire through the sapphire case-back. This gold engine reveals « Côte de Genève » stripes and the complexity to elaborate such mechanism with the only mission to give the accurate time. A natural dead beat seconds counter is also located at 2 o’clock on the case-back for those looking for perfection additionally to the constant force remontoire and the revolutionary bi-axial EBHP escapement.
F.P. Journe – Bio
François-Paul Journe was born in Marseille in 1959. An unruly child, he was sent to a local technical college at the age of 14. He went on to graduate from the Paris watchmaking school in 1976.
In 1982, after five years of work, he finished his tourbillon – and it work !
He founded the F.P. Journe company in 1999, have ever since stunned the world year after year with the visually distinctive and technically innovative watches
The motto of the brand, Invenit et Fecit (Latin for “[He] invented it and made it”) denotes that the company builds the entirety of the watches. Journe often designs brand new movements, even inventing completely new systems, like the famous resonance chronometer.
