Description

Part of a limited series of 300 pieces, the present reference 77350CE.OO.1266CE.02.A is the result of a collaboration between Audemars Piguet and the Florentine jewelry creator – Carolina Bucci.

Released in 2022 for the Royal Oak’s 50th jubilee, the Manufacture previously collaborated with the Italian designer for the famed Frosted Gold Royal Oaks in 2016, which marked the iconic model’s 40th anniversary for Ladies.

The signature feature of this watch is the unique rainbow dial and its special mirror effect, giving it a modern look while staying true to the traditional Tapisserie pattern. The hour-markers and hands are applied in pink gold, which matches the hexagonal screws on the bezel as well as the AP-signed crown.

Behind this creative dial lies the selfwinding Calibre 5800, comprising of 186 parts and 28 jewels, with a power reserve of up to 50 hours. The movement along with the 22k pink gold rotor can be admired through the sapphire crystal on the titanium case back, which is inscribed on all four corners with “Limited Edition Carolina Bucci”.

This selfwinding Royal Oak comes in a 34mm black ceramic case at 8.8mm of thickness, along with a black ceramic bracelet with AP folding clasp.

Audemars Piguet – bio

Audemars Piguet is a Swiss manufacturer of mechanical watches founded in 1875. They began in the Vallée de Joux. Jules Louis Audemars formed a partnership with Edward Auguste Piguet. Audemars created complicated blank watch movements for other manufactures to use. Piguet specialized in the final regulation of watches. They then split responsibilities when they began their own company. Audemars was in charge of production and technical aspects while Piguet focused on sales and management. One of their first achievements was creating the first repeater wristwatch in 1892 and in 1972 the iconic steel “Royal Oak”.
