Description

A. Lange & Söhne introduced Cabaret back in 1997. The first truly rectangle watch from Lange, it was another surprise from the brand which had resurrected itself just a couple of years ago in 1994.

The first reference 107.031 was a two tone Cabaret featuring a black dial and a pink gold case with matching hands and indices. Over the years Lange introduced 8 different references in different metals and dial combinations, including MoP dials.

The present model (Ref: 107.032), features a unique rectangular 25.5mm rose gold case with a gorgeous silver dial, graced with rose gold diamond-shaped indexes and Roman numeral hour markers. an oversized date aperture at 12’o clock and a seconds subdial at 6’0 clock

On the inside is the manual would Caliber L931.3, a form-shaped movement featuring a three-quarter plate made of untreated German silver and decorated with Glashütte ribbing, a stop second mechanism activated when the crown is pulled out and a patented twin-disc mechanism for the display of the oversized date. The finishing, as one would expect from Lange, is exceptional.

This gorgeous timepiece is offered on a hand-stitched black alligator strap with a rose gold pin buckle.

A.Lange & Sohne – bio

Founded in 1845 by Ferdinand Adolph Lange in Glashütte, Germany.  The company soon became the pioneers in watchmaking in their region.  After Ferdinand’s death his sons, Emil and Richard continued to produce the finest pocket watches of their time.
During World War II, they were victims of bombardments and eventually even got nationalised by the Soviet administration and ceased to exist. At the fall of the Berlin wall in 1990, the grand son of the founder, Walter Lange, revived the company with the help of Swiss watch manufacturers such as IWC & Jaeger-LeCoultre.   The brand introduced their new collection in 1994 with success and by 2000 the company got acquired by the Richemont Group.
